So what's it like being a bishop on your birthday?  We love you so much, Dad!  I'm realizing more and more that I have your sense of humor!  Do you ever have problems with people thinking you're serious when you think you are obviously joking?  I've been running into that a lot lately.  

Julia's First Easter

So we thought about not doing Easter Bunny stuff at all this year but then decided that we better do something for Julia so we could have fun pictures of her first Easter!  Plus she needed new clothes anyway!  She was really cute! more excited about the colorful paper and Daddy's camera than the gifts, but what can you expect from a 4 1/2 month old baby!  We had a lot of fun!

here's a recent foto of the family. not much to say about it except that we are happy to have two beautiful children and that i am happy to have a beautiful wife.

Adee Dances!

Last night Ben and I went down to Firth to watch Adee dance in the Cougarette Cavalcade!  She was such a cutie!  I wish I'd gotten a picture of her in her little yellow and pink sparkly costume.  Adee's routine had some fancy turns and some groovy moves and Adee made sure the other girls around her got in their correct positions!  

Later in the program they had a dance contest for kids 5 and under.  Kids who participated got candy.  When Beckham heard that he wanted to go right down.  His dancing included running out on the floor with the rest of the kids, running back to me when the music started, and then running back out on the floor when it was time to get the candy!  He's so funny!!  

Then Adee got to show her stuff again in the older kids dance contest!  Way to go, Girl!  

The program also included a Cougarette Alumni Drill Down.  I messed up pretty quickly last night, but this is a picture of me just after winning the 2A division drill down at Pacific North West Dance Competition in Boise my senior year!

What a Handsome young man!

Do you remember the hike we went on the last day of the Christensen Family Reunion last summer?  You were a real trooper even though it was hot and you were tired from playing so hard with your cousin's all weekend!

Congrats on turning ten Trent!!  Just think, only 2 more years of Primary!  We all love you, bud!  Hope your day was the best!

The Blessing

Just a couple more pictures.  

So it was really hard to find a day to bless Julia because so many babies were being born and blessed at the same time.  We would have done it the first sunday in January, but Ben's sister Roxanne was having her baby that weekend, so Ben's parents wouldn't have been there.  Then we would have done it the first Sunday in February, but Ben's sister Roxanne was blessing their baby, and they had to do it then because her husband is in the army and that's the only weekend he could come home.  So we blessed Julia on the 8th of February which turned out to be a not so good day to do it to.  Jeff and Heather were blessing their baby that day so Grandma and Grandpa Christensen had to decide which one to go to (they came to Jules') and Grandma and Grandpa Jensen had planned their trip to Arizona for that weekend because they thought we'd bless Julia the first Sunday in February so they couldn't be there at all!  

I guess I learned that I need to communicate better!!  Anyway, it was a great day, and Julia was beautiful and very good during her blessing!  Ben did a really good job! I think he was a little nervous, but he was very eloquent and said very nice things that I don't remember!

First of all thanks to everyone who helped with Julia's blessing lunch!  It was fun to see Ross an Shannon!   It had been a while!  This first picture Julia with her cousins on the other side after Cody's blessing.  Going left to right they are Damien (born in October), Anna (born November 8), Julia (born November 25), and Cody (born December 29)

Here is Julia getting a bath!  We have a picture of her not so covered up, but I don't think Ben would like it if I put that one on!  She likes her baths for the most part but usually starts crying when we get her out!  
I think I was trying to get a picture of her smiling.  She smiles a lot, but as soon as I get out the camera she stops and seems more interested in the shiny object in front of her.  This is as close as I can get.

Julia Loves Her Daddy

I took this picture when we were in Salt Lake for a baby blessing.  Julia was only a couple weeks old.  I just think she is so beautiful when she sleeps.  I've managed to get quite a few pictures of Julia and Ben sleeping together.  They both get this really calm, peaceful expression.

Ben has been so wonderful lately.  He comes home every night at about 6 for dinner and usually takes Julia for a while unless she has to eat.  She's starting to get to that stage where I am starting to be able to tell that she really loves us!  It is so much fun to see her grow and change every day!

Thought this might be fun!

So I'm not sure how this will all work, but it's worth a try because blogging is free!  My idea is that we can all post pictures and stories, announcements, invites, whatever and then be able to see on one blog what everyone is up to!  It'd be fun too if everyone had their own individual blogs that we could link this one to!  If you have any questions you can call me anytime.  I'm not very good at this yet, but I'm trying to learn and I'm sure Ben will help me figure out anything I cannot.
